These hose guides are sturdy so had no problem sticking them into the soil. The other purchasers complaints about the sticker on the top seem pretty odd. Yes they have a bar code sticker on the top, but I had no problem pulling off the sticker. I even have wimpy hands and it was no worse than stickers on any other package. I would recommend this product.
