Adapter is great - works fine with no leaking, my only issue was the clamp was too small and I had to find a different one. Fast shipping too.At the price of $11.99 for 4 FHT fittings I expected a stamped metal part, I was pleasantly surprised to receive beautiful CNC machined brass fittings. FYI the hose barb measures 0.525". I've used 2 of these on 1/2" drip line with 1/2" PEX clamps instead of the worm clamps that were supplied, they work great; no leaks. I would definitely recommend these at this price.Needed to bridge soaker hoses across area not needing water. Hose was so small, none of regular hose fittings would work. This design and tiny clamps allowed me to do exactly what I needed. Local Plumbing Supply had nothing small enough.Really appreciate finding these.These appear to be a good product, however we have had problems with leaking at the hose end when used for repair.The picture shows 6 clamps but only 3 were shipped. Fortunately I only needed 2 fittings for the job I was doing. One clamps was stripped and didn't work. The 1/2 fitting seemed smaller than 1/2. I had to use electrical tape on the fitting to make it fit toro irrigation tubing.Now I have to buy 4 clamps to use the two remaining fittings. Not great value. I bought the 3 pack for spares but if I hadn't I would have not been able to use fittings at all.Bought these to add above ground sprinklers to a garden hose. I had some in line sprinklers that are meant to use 3/4" poly drip tubing with threaded adapters pressed in. Well it turns out I could buy heavy duty rubber hose for much less per ft. than the poly tubing so... I cut the hose to the lengths i needed and installed these adapters to connect to the sprinklers. Inserting the pieces into the hose and tightening the clamps is a two second job and they have been perfectly leak free for several months of daily use (except the one I forgot to tighten all the way which blew off immediately and soaked me.)Well worth the price for this quality product.Bought this to attach to some DIG irrigation hose I just laid out in my yard so I could connect the garden hose to it. The description says it's compatible with "most" of the various brands, but it's not compatible with the DIG hose I have.While DIG does refer to their hose as being "1/2 inch", the actual ID of the hose is more like 9/16-5/8" and the OD is more like 11/16-3/4", so this adapter with the 1/2" barb is way too small. Looks like they offer a version with a 5/8" barb so maybe I'll try that.Something else about this adapter...it's not obvious from the pictures but it comes in TWO pieces. There's the barbed stem with a base and the threaded ring that screws onto your garden hose....you insert the stem through the ring to get what you see in the manufacturer's pictures. This is presumably done so that the ring spins and allows you to screw it onto the hose easily, but there's no seal where the two pieces meet and the only time they're firmly held together is when this adapter is tightened down to your garden hose.
