Description
Upgrade your RV's drainage system with the Valterra RV SewerSolution Drainage Kit with 10' Hose and Accessories. This affordable macerator system provides a water-powered, high-velocity jet nozzle that uses shear force to pulverize waste and toilet tissue for a cleaner tank. This sewage system is strong enough to pump sewage up to 100 feet or 3 feet uphill with just water pressure, providing easy use without the need for an electric pump. This sewage macerator system is easy to install and use on your RV, camper, or trailer without extra fittings or hardware. When the pumping is finished, the swivel jet nozzle cleans the whole system, both upstream (valve/pipe/tank) and downstream (drain hose). Included with this sewer drainage kit are a 10' drain hose, pump head, sewer adapter, quick connect, and anti-siphon valve - everything you need to get pumping right away. The Valterra RV SewerSolution Drainage Kit requires fresh water connection for dumping.

It did not seem quite as easy as it appeared on the YouTube video, but I think as I get experience using it, it will become easier. There is a foot or a little more rise to my sewer drain, but it didn't appear to have difficulty carrying the waste to the drain. I had to purchase the sewer hose extension because the unit would not attach to the RV drain because it hit the black water valve opening handle without the extension. I'll appreciate being able to drain at home, saving the $10 to $15 the nearest dumps charge and allowing me to recoup my expenditure for the purchase within 10 dumps.Makes dumping at home from my rv much cleaner safer and easier. No tank and hose issues. Just put this on tie it to a waste specific hose and dump into my septic tank. Easy peasy.Make sure to clean it and the hoses well before putting away. Or ya gonna smell it for days.I hate the job of emptying tanks, but this product makes life much easier. Being able to upload clean water in and wash out the tanks makes the likelihood of having a spill the next time so much less. And with this you don't have to try to make sure the dump hose is level and actually pouring down into the septic hole. Wish I had this system a few years ago!!!I think it should come with a 25’ hose and not have to buy extra hoes separate most RV’s 25’ is a great size. But it does work like it says it would.Im so happy with this. Its not 5 start because the plastic is too brittle an im sure it will crack in the future, and the replacement is quite expensive. This was purchased to drain my Black Tank while at my daughters house in the summer. It works as well as expected. I really like the ability to back flush into the tank to somewhat clean it...and it is self cleaning prior to packing it for travel... I leave it attached all the time so we will see how well it lasts in the sun etc.Game changer. Easy to use. Dump at home now. Ordered extra hose now it reaches. There are you-tube videos that show usage and those helped. Have used a few time now with no issues. Take a little longer than with Stinky Slinky but gives you optionsHow to rate a product with so many facets of the ownership experience: ordering, delivery, packaging, quality of parts/materials, performance, warranty, etc.? In the end, I decided to go with Amazon's suggestion of two stars for "I don't like it." But to be fair to Valterra, the manufacturer, I'll qualify my rating to say that it gets 5 stars for doing what it says (ability to empty the waste tanks, albeit very slowly with incredible water waste, even up an incline), and only 1 star for quality of materials/workmanship and 1 star for customer service. Here's why:I purchased the Sewer Solution in October 2016 and am writing this review in April 2018 after receiving a replacement pump head (the part that fits on the end of your waste tank outlet pipe). In the previous year-and-a-half of ownership I have used the sewer solution exactly THREE times: once in October 2016 , once in June 2017, and once in March 2018. At that time, I noticed the pump head was leaking slowly from two hairline cracks in the plastic around the outlet where the outlet hose connects. Every other time I camp, I use a Camco RhinoFLEX sewer hose kit, which I find to be much more convenient for all "normal" applications (i.e., where you don't have to empty uphill). I always keep my Sewer Solution clean and well-protected in a large plastic tub for those occasions when I have reason to use.At the beginning of this month after noticing the leaks, I called Valterra's corporate office to voice my dissatisfaction with the quality and workmanship of their product. I explained to them that I was unhappy because I had only used the Sewer Solution three times since the initial purchase, and in my opinion it should be durable enough to withstand such light use before developing cracks and leaks, and that I should not have to pay for a replacement pump costing approximately 1/2 the original purchase price of the entire kit under such circumstances. Their totally-expected response was that the product only has a one year warranty regardless of the number of times used, and that the cracks in the pump unit result from undue stress put on it by stretching the hose too far away from the RV (i.e., user abuse!). This might seems like a reasonable response at first except that it really only keeps the company from having to take responsibility for selling an inferior, fragile product not designed to withstand even casual, light use, and certainly not even normal wear and tear. If the deterioration of my Sewer Solution had been caused by normal wear and tear, I would have chalked the replacement price of the pump up to the normal and expected cost of product ownership and gladly paid for a replacement pump. In all three uses, however, I was aware that this was a weakness in the design of the product and took GREAT CARE to treat the product with "kid gloves" and avoid putting stress on the hose connections. In my opinion, the quality of materials should have withstood the extraordinarily light usage I subjected it to, regardless of the length of time since purchase. The amount of time passed since purchase is in my opinion irrelevant in this particular case. A shoddy product is a shoddy product, and the company should own up to this reality and make it right with its customers.Unfortunately however Valterra doesn't seem to see it this way. The company continued to assert its stance and did not want to rectify the situation until I threatened to leave a negative review on Amazon about my experience. Had they not finally agreed to ship me a replacement pump, this would have been a 1-star review. The second star is both charity and an attempt to leave a fair review that gives credit to the positives about the product (that it actually works as described) and the negatives (materials and willingness of company to take responsibility for quality of such materials). I do not feel that it's good customer service to only appease a customer to prevent a negative review. If I were just some money-grubbing leach out to take advantage of manufactures' generosity, then I could understand their position. All I want, however, is to pay a fair price for a well-manufactured, quality product that is going to serve me well for a reasonable amount of time, and I don't feel the Sewer Solution lives up to that expectation. To be fair, the company did ship me a replacement pump under my coercion, but when this pump and/or related parts fail the second time, which it obviously will, I will unlikely be purchasing a replacement. If I find myself in a situation where I have to pump uphill, I will likely just find a more convenient hookup. So, there's my story. Purchase at your own risk. If you do, know that you will most likely be purchasing a replacement pump quite often.First time RV owner here and we bought one with 'stuff' still in there. Oh boy. I want to boondocks mostly so RV dump stations aren't for me. 10 minutes of playing with this thing I got it figured out. I bought like 30 feet of extra hose so I had enough to go anywhere and I recommend that. Doesn't come with enough hose clamps but whatever it's fine, zip ties got me thru as I ordered some clamps. Pumped the thing clean in minutes. It DID drip poo water at the connection, but I'm going to put a thin bead of "Marine Goop" around the blackwater tube and that should resolve dripping. Pumped it well over 30 feet like a champ, then I cleaned out the tank and maaaaaan I love poopin now can't wait to poop some more :) I hope the durability holds up.I ordered the kit months ago. Amazon would cancel the order due to lack of availability and then I would reorder when it reappeared again. This went on over several months and I was surprised when Amazon finally sent a notification that this kit was ready for shipping. Initially I was going to replace, or add to, the 10' hose with a longer hose. But after reading reviews and watching a YouTube video, I went with PVC instead. I bought 4 10' x 1" PVC pipes and 4 screw-type connectors for easy disassembly. I also had to get a Camco sewer extension tube so the macerator until would clear the handles and have room for the hose hookups. I have a motorhome with the sewer outlet in its own storage bay. Everything went well and I had zero leaks. I have only used it the one time so I hope it continues to be leak-free. So far, I am very pleased with it, despite the long wait to get it.This will absolutely break!!!!!!There are two Types of plastic that are somehow attached to each other on the main head of the unit that houses the jet. This will blow apart at some point and there will be black water fecal matter (otherwise know as poo) all over the place.I am sorry I took a long to time to make this review, I am busy. This unit lasted not a day past 3 months and I uss d it about every two weeks!Takes a while to get it set up ( learning curve here) but once you get the hang of it works great , is seems to take a lot of water but gets the job done. Had to get an extra length of hose 10 ft glad I did, perfect match for this unit .This product works exactly like it says but I did have to modify some of the longer discharge hose. I recommend it to anyone
