I used this hose for a backwash hose for my pool sand filter. FYI if you have a 1 1/2 outlet buy the 2inch hose.ExcellentThis is a great hose for backwashing our pool. It seems very sturdy and is working as should.Heavy gaugeThis works great now I’ve gotten it attached. Everything I bought at the pool store and big box stores blew up. It was an act of god to attach it to the backwash port. The hose is built vert strong it has nylon fibers in it and does not stretch.I tried heating it using something slick to get it on however nothing worked. The hose is exactly 1.5 inches in diameter and does not stretch. The port is 1.5” in diameter and has a small lip at the end making it slightly larger so a hose that will stretch will not come off. I ground this part off and got it on far enough to make it work. Other wise i would give it 5 stars.Did the job for a hot tub drain and is sturdy, but definitely stained my white hot tub shell. Not thrilledGood quality.His is the first heavy duty backwash hose I've had. The ones they gave you with a pool pkg. Are SOOOO cheap!!
