It performs fairly.. mostly due to it's portability. Although I don't think I'd purchase it again. I wish I got the full 45 minutes of running time instead of the 30 minutes I'm getting.I use it to water a remote garden. Will pump ~ 150 gallons on one charge. Very pleased with the water flow—-did not expect it to be so good from such a small light pump. Charges in about 4 hoursI like it because it's portable and no need to plug into any outlets. I find it the safest way when dealing with water and electricity. It is 18v so it takes time to pump but it does its best. I like this better than my ordinary one. It's only 4-5lb so it doesn't weight a whole lot. Super easy to operate, anyone can do it.We need to install a french drain or something because our yard floods when it rains. And our basement sump pump runs like crazy trying to keep the basement dry.We got this to use with a hose when the water gets really bad. It does a pretty good job. But it's not a permanent solution for us. We're in a townhouse with some pretty bad water issues in the front patio/yard area, and have been mitigating them with a couple of 1/3 HP automatic pumps that kick on when there's half an inch of water accumulated.When the power goes out during a bad storm, things get stressful. There have been a couple of occasions where we've been out in the pouring rain, literally bailing out some trouble spots with buckets and manning a hand pump to keep the water from getting into the house.That's where the Acquaer pump comes in. I've been on the lookout for something like this for a long time--something that can back us up when the power goes out, because every little bit helps.Some things to know:- This isn't a super powerful pump. At 1/6 HP, it's not nearly as powerful as comparably priced plug-in pumps (I paid about the same price for each of my pumps that are double the power and use bigger hoses).- It is not an automatic pump. You can't leave it out and expect it to kick on by itself--you'll need to press a button to turn it on and off.- It is submersible. Make sure to screw on the cap for the charging port if you're running on battery to ensure no water gets in.- Because of the water-tight seal around the charge port, you can only use the included charging cable with it. Don't lose it.A battery operated pump like this is a great tool to have for utility situations where plugging in will be challenging or emergency situations where it's just not an option.For what it is this is a good pump. It is not powerful but will move water. I see this pump good for water draining transfer situations but not to keep you're basement dry. For what it is it is good but if you are expecting something more powerful you will be disappointed. I Would buy again. 5 STARSThe bottom of my driveway accumulates a lot of water when we get heavy rains (several hundred gallons), this cordless sump pump does the job and drains all of it. The water has lawn debris and the built in screen prevents clogging. I have not ran it more than an hour at a time however, the pump does not lose any power for the 45 minutes or so I do run it.
